The work included site excavation, demolishing and removing a retaining wall, constructing a new retaining wall, removal of asphalt pavement, and installation of new pavement, concrete sidewalks, and on-site furnishings.

During the project, Paladino Concrete Creations solved the unexpected obstacle of a retainer wall collapse. The City of Yonkers hired Paladino Concrete Creations to construct a redi-rock wall system in this retainer wall to support an already-installed playground. Despite the challenges that the retainer wall collapse presented, Paladino Concrete Creations safely completed all parts of the project on time and within budget, giving the families of Yonkers a beautiful, relaxing space in which to enjoy the outdoors.
